Kala Jamun is a popular Indian dessert, similar to gulab jamun but darker in color and often richer in flavor. Made from khoya (reduced milk solids), paneer, or flour, the dough is shaped into small balls, deep-fried until dark brown or nearly black, and soaked in sugar syrup flavored with cardamom, rose water, or saffron. The name “kala” (meaning black) refers to its darker outer crust, which contrasts with its soft, juicy interior.
